Rome Album Cover Inspiration?

Rome is a great album recently released by Dangermouse and Daniele Lupi, featuring the likes of Jack White and Norah Jones. Yesterday, I came across a stamp from the Netherlands dated 1970. I knew instantly, that I had seen  it somewhere before, see what you think!

The designer of the Rome cover is Jacob Escobedo from Nevada. He grew up surrounded by his father's collection of oddities. He has some great work on his site: http://jacobescobedo.com

Client Visual proofs/ Mock ups

I have taken to providing clients with a visual mock up of how their design will look once they receive it. It is a really good way of conveying the sense of the finished article in conjunction with the standard PDF or screen.

What is also nice is that you can then save the proof and use it in your folio or website! I find I sometimes get as much enjoyment from creating the visual as I do the actual design. It is much better to create it for yourself, rather than use the synthetic looking template actions which are available.

Summer Fair

This was a really quick! design for a School Summer Fair, in the style of a Hatch Show Print. Looking at it now, If I had more time I would definitely have added a nice old sunshine on there somewhere...

Homehouse Flyer

This is the final design for my latest flyer for the luxurious private members' club, Homehouse in Portman Square. It is a wonderful club set in a Georgian Town House mansion, the architecture is wonderful. Check it out: www.homehouse.co.uk

Vintage knitting patterns

I picked these up from an old lady at a carboot sale. Quite vile, but strangely charming!
