Regional vocabulary

Here are some patterns that I am working on for an international hotel brand interior design project.

The idea is that there are touches of design that are associated with the location and the design language must reflect this. Initially shown in monotone, introduction of colour will enhance further at a later stage.

The Art of Craft

Went to The Art of Craft last night and listened to the artists (below) talking about the design process of....well this is explained perfectly below....

As part of our 7 Days of IHL celebration, we’ve partnered with our friends at Beach London to bring you the Art of Craft, an evening of discussion on the mutually rewarding creative relationship between craft breweries and illustrators – and the exciting artwork that’s being produced.

Joining us to discuss this phenomenon will be Nick Dwyer, Art Director of Beavertown Brewery, longtime Camden collaborator Thomas Slater, Studio Juice – the masterminds behind our Stuart Patience-drawn IHL can design – and Alec Doherty, creator of Partizan Brewing‘s illustrated identity.

Not only were Camden Brewery fantastic enough to arrange this with Beach London, but we also received free and enormously tasty India Hells Lager, pizza and a free T-shirt. What more could you want? If you are interested in the best breweries in the world, illustration or design...check them out!
