Mechanical Tints for Line Blocks (Vintage)

Here are some wonderful old Line blocks. These can be used to make patterns in PS or brushes if you like - and would add a great retro style to your shading/ artwork should you wish to use them. Or just wonder at how difficult it used to be to make photographic representation via ink onto paper!

Lola Lo, Brighton Revised Proof


The client requested that the image of the girl be changed as she was not real enough - and the back was too stark in comparison to the front. Below are several web banners that I had to design based on the front of the flyer.



They promoter was really pleased with the design and offered me another flyer to design:


This is a very different themed night at a nightclub in Southend. The brief required something glowing/ electric and metallic red whilst retaining the existing identity of the DTF. The most important part of this design for me was adding dimension and movement to the flat DTF which works well in conjunction with the red brushed metal texture at the back - and gives the flyer a lot of energy.
This is the first proof - there were a few minor amends.
