Camera Icon design

Well, actually a magazine cover but in the style of an icon. Just finished drawing these in Photoshop CS6. I must say that the new Shape/ Path/ Pixel panel is a welcome improvement!

The first one was the intended cover, but I drew the Holga as an extra.

Old London Tube Typography

We recently went to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. Had a great time and it was really nice to see the way it used to be - although I'm glad we no longer have Steam powered trains down there!

These were painted on the side of an old Tube train. There was also some amazing poster designs which I will post later.

Sporting Event Poster Designs

I have just finished designing these two posters for upcoming sporting events - namely the Euros and Olympics. I was intending to have, 'Celebrating London 2012', but upon researching found out that you are not permitted to use the words 'London 2012' - and the use of the olympic rings was a definite no!

Fake Tan Poster Design

This is a poster and also one side of an A5 flyer run for a salon in London. I think a spray tan is the only way to get any kind of a glow - with all of this rubbish weather we have been having lately!

Club Flyer Designs...

Here are two more flyers that I have designed for upcoming club nights.

I have continued experimenting with Photoshop CS6 new 3D tools for
the main typography. It is much more intuitive than CS5's Repousse.

I have also been getting used to my new Wacom Intuos 5 Large, which
still amazes me. : ) You may have noticed the new header I have created
for both my blog and my website: www.jamiesmithdesign.comwww.jamiesmithdesign.com

Ink & Paper Exhibition

Get yourself down to Brick Lane in just over a week, to see a great looking exhibition on screen printed gig posters.

INK & PAPER is a major exhibition of gig posters by some of the world's best poster artists taking place May 11th-13th off London's Brick Lane at The Rag Factory. One of the first shows to feature many of the UK's current crop of poster designers alongside some of the best from Europe and the US, INK & PAPER will feature a vast array of limited, screenprinted gig posters for bands across the musical spectrum.
